Katja KakerKATJA KAKER University of Porto Early Stage Researcher Comments:

"From the event, I hoped to improve my presentation skills.  I got to know the framework of successful presentation, crucial questions that must be answered.  Observing other presenters allowed me to note the most common mistakes.

It was interesting to see everyone judging the presentations and then repeating the same mistakes during their own presentation.  I was a participant and presenter at this event."

"This was my first INTACCT event, so first of all I hoped to get to know people in the network better.  Apart from that, I hoped to learn how to improve my writing skills and to get feedback on my research projects.  I have benefited greatly from the feedback I received on my research projects.  I have also learned much from the presentations about how to improve writing skills.

I have deeply enjoyed the high level of academic debate about each of the projects that INTACCT researchers are involved with and also the social events following the workshop.

I presented a seminar during the event."

URSA KOSIUrsa Kosi

University of Macedonia Early Stage Researcher Comments:

"This workshop promised to introduce us to writing, presenting and publishing skills.  These topics were presented to us by well respected academics from Europe and US.  It was extremely interesting to hear about their experiences and small hints they could offer.

Also, we had opportunities to present our research projects that were more developed than at Frankfurt Colloquium.  We got useful comments on presentation skills.  It was a rewarding experience to ask well established researchers about their recommendations for writing academic papers and making good presentations.  These skills are important for every researcher as our ultimate goal is to publish the studies we undertake.

During our last day we made an enjoyable short tour of Cyprus and visited some historical sites.  I attended this event as a participant and presenter."
